Clarence Street, Byward Market

This painting happened on top of another one that was just not quite right. As is often the case, there’s something inspiring about giving new life to something that needs a facelift and so painting on this already highly textured canvas was fantastic. Every brushstroke offered unexpected results.

Clarence Street in the Byward Market is full of life and character and this particular corner offers just so much fun and colour and texture. I’m a huge fan of lettering and signage, and have I ever mentioned that I also LOVE to paint bicycles, umbrellas and lampposts? This one has it all.

UV coated, archival ink on acid-free cold-press paper. Signed and dated limited edition print.
